Lee and his wife Susan have been in bands together most of this century - the Tim Lee 3, after she learned to play bass, and Bark, after she learned to play drums. It's chock full of anecdotes about his many friends in the indie rock scene of the 80s and the even indier-er small time rock scene of the 2000s. Here's a self-penned memoir of a rock'n'roll lifer, a man who realized how good it felt to make music, and who found ways to keep on doing it all these years. He's also released some three dozen records under various names. Or maybe you saw him on tour with Let's Active, or the Swimming Pool Q's, or playing in some small club somewhere or another with one of his many different bands. If you're not familiar with his name, maybe you remember the Windbreakers from the 80s. Tim Lee has done it for over 40 years purely out of love. ![]() So, why do musicians make music?
